Not only that but the restaurant now forces you to valet your car so they can drive it 5 feet away and park it for you. My family and I have frequented this restaurant multiple times and I can say after this experience we will not be returning ! Starting with the valet - they were incredibly rude and impatient while my husband and myself got our 3 month old baby. I think he needs a little training in customer relations, especially when people are dropping a ton of money for lunch and not doing anything damaging.ĭespite those minor nuisances I would definitely go back. After that he blocked it off with a table, for reasons that never became apparent. There was nothing there to separate the areas and we were definite not the only ones who went over there to admire the view of the valley. The only negative on the service was the snippy little man who halfway through our stay came over to berate us for walking around in the (unused) couch area next to our table area. Definitely would not recommend, go for the ribeye if you are looking for a steak. I have eaten in many restaurants in my lifetime and I can say with confidence this is the smallest one I have ever seen. The only negative on the food was that the filet mignon was comically small. The prices are definitely on the higher side, but I knew that going in and expected our lunch bill would be pretty high. There was no rush, and she made great recommendations (BTW - try the "Paid Vacation" cocktail). Major shout out to our server Dee - she was extremely attentive and I don't think there was a single time we were asking ourselves "where is our server?". I didn't know what to expect and ordered two of them, there were so many desserts on each tray that one would have probably been enough. But the highlight had to be the dessert tower (see pics). Entrees were great as well (with one exception which I note below), I had the squid ink bucatini with lobster and shrimp and it was fantastic. Appetizers were great - fried calamari, brussels sprouts and a chef's charcuterie board. We wanted to be outside, and they set us up in a great semi-private section that had room for us to stand and chat before the meal. I am happy to say that we had a fantastic time, and it was even better than I had expected it to be. about booking here, but figured that if nothing else we would get some nice pictures with the valley as the background. To be honest, after reading the reviews I was very nervous. We came to Los Angeles for our son's law school graduation and wanted to have a special celebration for the large group of family members who made the trek out from the east coast.
